'To be going to'

"to be going to"-"ir a hacer algo"

To be + going + to + Verbo (en infinitivo)
Ex. I am going to do my English exercises.

Affirmative:      She is going to buy a car.
Interrogative:     Is she going to buy a car?
Negative:         She is not going to buy a car

USE:
1. We use 'going to' when we want to talk about a plan for the future.
  • We are going to visit  a Secondary school next weej. 
  • I'm going to go out later. (also: I'm going out later)
2. We use 'going to' when we want to make a prediction 
  • Look the sky. It's going to rain

Adverbs of Frequency. How often do you..?

Se utilizan para indicar con qué frecuencia se realiza la acción indicada por el verbo. Los que están en rojo se colocan entre el sujeto y el verbo, con el verbo "to be" se colocan detrás. Los restantes van al comienzo o al final de la frase.

"Going to..." Exercises and links"

I AM GOING TO



"I am going to...."  / "Voy a ...

Examples:
I am going to wath TV /Voy a ver la televión

 I' m going to study English
I am not going to study English? 
Are you going to study English?

Utilizamos esta expresión "going to+verbo en infinitivo" para referirnos a algo que haremos en un futuro inmediato y planificado. "Voy a +verbo en infinitivo"

Para un futuro más lejano y no planificado usamos el tiempo futuro "Yo iré..." "I will go.."

 Estructuras:

Afirmativa: Sujeto + am/are/is + "going to"+.

 She is going to read a book. 
They are going to play football.
I am going to study French.
 

Preguntas: Am/are/is + sujeto + "going to"+?
Is she going to read a book?
Are they going to play football?
Are you going to study French?


Estructura negación: Sujeto + am/are/is + not+ "going to"+

She is not going to read a book.
They are not going to play football.
I am  not going to study French.

SOME
    ANY-----


 SOME is used
  •  in affirmative statements with plural countable nouns
    Example:There are some eggs in the fridge.(countable)
  •  in affirmative statements with ucountable nouns.
     Example: I want some milk. (uncountable)

BUT:
Some is used in questions for invitations:
  Example: Do you want some coffee?(uncountable)
   
 Any is used
  • in questions (UNCONTABLE and PLURAL COUNTABLE NOUMS) 
Example: 
Is there any water in the fridge? (uncountable)
Do you have any bananas? (countable)

  • in negative statements with uncountable nouns.

  • in negative statements with plural countable  nouns.  
 Example:
There aren`t any apples.(countable)
